goodbye summer, hello “other new year”

I could not have asked for a better summer.  It feels like I’ve been “out there” all summer long – weekends at the beach in Maine (complete with requisite Bush sighting), good times with friends, a trip to Vancouver (which I can’t wait to write about!)…  Full days that have pulled me in many directions – hence the radio-silence on this blog!

A friend mentioned the other day, and I couldn’t agree more, that September truly feels like the “other New Year.” Perhaps it is from all those years of back-to-school, and now, as a parent, seeing my kids do the same.   I’m feeling a major shift now, pulling attention inward, inside my home, my family, and myself, and looking at what new things I’d like to create in the coming months.  I think this is what people mean when they talk about getting “grounded…”  :)  Now that it’s back to a more regular routine, I hope you’ve got some time to pause, reflect, and ask yourself what you need as well.

It’s good to be back!  I feel some writing coming on.  Stay tuned…

The summer in a nutshell – clockwise from top (sort of): teaching Core Fusion on the Esplanade, view from the porch – Ogunquit Maine, Elise’s sugarplum  party, Marginal Way Ogunquit with my loves, “the sighting” ;) – Barnacle Billy’s Maine, more Barnacle Billy’s goodness, goofing around with Sarah Gardner at the lululemon ambassador summit – Vancouver BC, SUP surfing  -Vancouver BC.

  1. Hey! stumbled upon your blog while browsing the Lululemon site.. love your blog :) I’m looking to get some Lululemon gear to work out in this winter! I hear it’s pretty awesome! Thanks so much for reading, Megan! When you go to the store, the educators there will be super helpful with finding the best picks for your sport, body, etc. My favorite items for my body and sport are the Wunder Under Crop and Push Ur Limits Tank. I think the most popular items are probably the Groove Pant and Power Y Tank. And for winter, a nice fleece-lined Scuba Hoodie would be amazing… I look forward to reading your posts!

  3. those all sound amazing! I can’t wait to check it out :) thanks
